Is Adin Ross Quitting Kick? Streamer Sparks Retirement Rumors

A statement supposedly made by Adin Ross has been circulating online, stating that the popular streamer is leaving Kick. However, fans are uncertain about the validity of this announcement.

On April 17, the fan account ‘Adin Updates’ shared a long statement stating that popular streamer Adin Ross would be retiring from streaming with immediate effect.

Adin Updates, who denies any intent to pose as Ross, shared a statement on Twitter with the caption, “A message from Adin Ross,”to their 104.9k followers.

The statement stated: “Presently, I address you with a heart brimming with appreciation and a mind filled with recollections as I begin this voyage called retirement.”

The post continued by expressing gratitude to Ross’ supporters and fellow streamers. “I am extremely grateful to my amazing fans… I also want to extend my thanks to my fellow creators and colleagues for their camaraderie, collaborations, and endless moments of laughter.”

His fans have expressed their thoughts about a world without one of the most popular Kick streamers.

“One viewer expressed, “His streams proved to be a source of comfort during a difficult time after my mother’s passing. I sincerely hope this is not true and that he will continue to stream in the future.”Another viewer chimed in, saying, “No, my king.”

Despite the widespread questioning, some viewers expressed doubts about the authenticity of the statement, with one commenting, “He definitely didn’t write this lmao.”Another chimed in, “It’s been 16 days since April Fools, so this is definitely not a joke.”

Despite claims of retirement, Ross’ departure would mark the end of his five-year streaming career, which began on Twitch in 2018. However, a ban from the platform in 2023 due to an open chat box containing offensive language led Ross to move to Kick, where he quickly rose to become one of its top streamers.

Despite not discussing specific figures, Ross confirmed that he had been re-signed after his successful stint on Kick and had landed a lucrative 3-year contract this year. He also expressed excitement for what was to come, stating that this year was going to be an exciting and eventful one.

Ross’ impact on Kick was so significant that it convinced even popular streamers such as Amouranth and xQc to leave Twitch and join the platform. In 2023, xQc made headlines by signing a lucrative non-exclusive contract with Kick worth $100 million dollars, solidifying the platform as their new home.

Despite rumors stating that Ross may have retired from Kick and streaming altogether, he has yet to officially confirm or deny the statement released by Adin Updates. This has left fans on edge, eagerly awaiting clarification from him.
