The recent chapter 424 of My Hero Academia, titled ‘Epilogue’ according to alleged spoilers, does not mark the end of the manga series. The manga’s final chapter has not been officially announced by the series, proving that the story will continue beyond chapter 424.

Typically, a manga series will reveal its final chapter approximately five chapters before it is published. This means that fans do not have to be concerned about an abrupt ending to the story until the publishing company, Shueisha, announces it through the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of the manga, also shared his thoughts in the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. He acknowledged that it is typical for Shonen manga stories to have a brief conclusion after a major battle. However, he believed that My Hero Academia was not the kind of manga that could simply wrap up after the fights were over.

Therefore, the manga artist reassured fans that he would continue the manga for a short time until he reached his desired conclusion. Considering this, following the intense battle, Kohei Horikoshi intended to put more emphasis on the title of the story, ‘My Hero Academia.’

This indicated that the forthcoming narrative would center on Deku and his comrades’ experiences during the rest of their time at U.A. High School.

What Can We Anticipate from My Hero Academia Manga in the Future?

Although not many Shonen manga series have taken this path, it is difficult to predict what will transpire in the story in the future. However, it is likely that the manga will continue to follow Class 1A’s journey at U.A. High School.

The explanation of how Izuku Midoriya will become a hero without any quirks is most likely to be revealed through this development. Will he rely on support gadgets or physical abilities? Furthermore, the manga may also portray Bakugo’s difficult journey in rehab as he works towards regaining mobility in his arms.

The preceding chapter also provided readers with a peek into Ochako Uraraka and Shoto Todoroki’s storylines, further allowing the manga to delve into their individual narratives.
