Is Crossplay Available in Marvel Rivals?

Yes, Marvel Rivals supports crossplay, but only in Casual Mode.

This feature allows players on different systems, such as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, to join the same games, enabling you to team up with friends regardless of the platform. However, it’s important to note that Competitive Mode is platform-specific; thus, players will face off only against others on the same system.

When creating custom games with your friends, cross-platform play is fully functional. However, be aware that these Quick Matches do not influence your competitive rankings.

What About Cross-Progression?

Currently, Marvel Rivals does not feature cross-progression. This means your progress remains tied to whichever platform you are using.

If you opt to download the game on a different system, you will need to start from scratch with a new account. However, there is some good news: during a recent interview with DotEsports, Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen, the creative director for Marvel Rivals, confirmed that cross-progression is currently in development.

Chen stated, “Cross-progression involves a lot of platform-specific rules. We’re still exploring how to address these challenges.” He assured players, “Once the team has a solution and we’re ready to implement it, players will be the first to know.”
