Following the Omnipotence Act, Eida has taken a backseat in the narrative as “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex”unfolds, focusing on the protagonist’s quest to return to his village and address his current challenges. In this latest installment, Eida has made only a handful of appearances, leading to the question: is Eida truly sidelined in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?
At this point, the answer appears to be yes, particularly considering the emergence of a larger threat— the self-aware God Trees of the Ten-tails. These formidable entities, along with the Shinju, represent some of the strongest adversaries the protagonist has ever encountered, as they embody the consciousness of one of the most terrifying entities in Hidden Leaf Village’s history. Therefore, Eida’s current role seems to be one of observation.

Examining Eida’s Role in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Eida, once a member of the notorious Kara organization led by Jigen (Isshiki Otsutsuki), was cast aside on the leader’s orders due to her perceived threat to his existence. After Jigen’s (Isshiki’s) demise at the hands of Naruto’s Baryon mode, Eida was liberated by Code with the intention of destroying Hidden Leaf Village.
Her infatuation with Boruto and Kawaki—particularly Kawaki—was driven by her teenage desire for romance. Eida infiltrated Hidden Leaf Village and established a connection with both boys, though they never saw eye to eye. Ultimately, Kawaki resolved to eliminate Boruto.
Initially, Kawaki returned home to seal away Hinata and Naruto, who opposed his plan. He then pursued Boruto with reckless abandon, but soon found himself at a loss and encountered Eida, who embraced him in his moment of vulnerability and triggered her powers.
This moment activated her abilities, which swapped the identities of Boruto and Kawaki via a shinjutsu technique known as Omnipotence. Seizing the opportunity, Kawaki branded Boruto as the traitor of Hidden Leaf Village, which led to Boruto being exiled by the village’s shinobi.
Following this event, a four-year time skip occurred where the situation largely remained unchanged, with Eida now holding Kawaki’s allegiance. Despite her pivotal role in the tragedy known as the Omnipotence Act, she experienced a relatively peaceful life after labeling Boruto a traitor.
As of the publication of this article, Eida has not actively participated in any conflicts within Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, indicating that she might be assuming the role of a sidelined antagonist, waiting for the right moment to execute her plans.
After the Shinju awakened and discussed their objectives, Eida witnessed Bug’s Shinju declare her as a target. This may be a strong hint towards her future involvement, potentially showcasing her shinjutsu abilities once again, but this time with the intention of self-preservation.
