According to a report by SPOTV News on August 2, G-Dragon is currently getting ready for a concert that will take place at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome in November.
The Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul has a capacity of around 16,000 people and is one of the limited venues in the city that can accommodate large-scale concerts. This is due to the renovation of Jamsil Main Stadium, along with the KSPO Dome.
The Sangam World Cup Stadium is currently the largest concert venue in Seoul, with a capacity of approximately 60,000 people. However, due to turf concerns, it is not readily available for rental. As a result, many artists opt to use the KSPO Dome, Gocheok Dome, and Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, as alternative performance venues.
G-Dragon has opted for the Gocheok Dome as the venue for his upcoming concert, which has the capacity to accommodate large sets. The event is scheduled for November and the preparations are underway for a grand show. However, Galaxy Corporation, his agency, has stated that while they are indeed planning for a comeback in the latter half of the year, no official announcement has been made regarding the concert. They have refrained from providing any further details at this time.
Despite several hints from G-Dragon about his upcoming solo comeback, no specific dates have been confirmed yet.
Prior to his anticipated return, G-Dragon has successfully obtained the trademark rights for both “G-Dragon”and “GD”from his previous label, YG Entertainment. According to sources, YG’s chief producer Yang Hyun-suk graciously transferred these trademarks to him without requiring any form of payment.
