Glorio, first introduced in Dragon Ball DAIMA‘s second episode, is depicted as a blue-skinned character with white spiky hair and striking green eyes. He arrives on Earth with a request for Goku to travel to the demon realm and confront King Gomah, a notorious tyrant.

Originally from the third demon world, Glorio relocated to the first demon world under the guidance of an influential figure. His combat style is primarily gun-focused, although he also possesses the ability to wield magic, notably manipulating purple lightning.

Glorio’s personality is marked by a stoic demeanor and minimal communication, making him appear unapproachable. His actions further reinforce his ambiguous character, contributing to an air of distrust.

Why Did Shin Start Suspecting Glorio?

Shin’s suspicions about Glorio arose immediately upon the character’s introduction. Glorio approached Goku, aware of his past battles against formidable foes like Majin Buu, yet appeared unfazed by Goku’s childlike form. This could imply that he had prior knowledge about King Gomah’s transformation of Goku and his friends, indicating familiarity with deeper secrets.

Moreover, the fact that the king of the second demon world seemed oblivious to Goku’s legendary status as a hero raised further questions about Glorio’s knowledge and connections. If the king had not informed Glorio of Goku’s situation, it stands to reason that Glorio was receiving information from a covert source, deepening the intrigue surrounding his true objectives.

The sixth episode unveils Glorio’s connection with Dr. Arinsu, a formidable demon with significant influence in the first demon world. It appears she orchestrated Glorio’s move, leveraging his skills for her purposes.

Dr. Arinsu, who happens to be Shin’s elder sister, is described as a mad scientist. She chose the demon world over her own race, drawn to its thrilling chaos.

Evidence of Glorio’s collusion was revealed when he was seen covertly communicating with Arinsu using a device to report back on his observations. Although Shin did not witness the content of these communications, the act of sneaking around at night raised red flags concerning Glorio’s intentions.

What Is Glorio’s Motive?

When questioned about his motivations for wanting Gomah defeated, Glorio articulated that Gomah was malevolent, exploiting innocent demons. However, his delivery lacked emotional engagement, making it seem as though he was emotionally detached from the cause.

During their journey through the demon world, Goku explored alternatives to combating Gomah directly, such as collecting the Dragon Balls guarded by the Tamagami. Glorio showed a disconcerting indifference to Goku’s suggestions, indicating that his concerns may not align with the plight of those suffering under Gomah’s rule.

Currently, it’s challenging to decode Glorio’s true motives. There is a strong possibility that his objectives, along with those of Arinsu, extend beyond merely defeating King Gomah.

Will Glorio Betray Goku?

As the storyline in Dragon Ball DAIMA unfolds, the likelihood of Glorio betraying Goku seems plausible. While there is no definitive proof of Glorio conspiring with Arinsu for nefarious purposes, this scenario remains a possibility. Alternatively, Glorio could evolve into an anti-hero figure as the plot progresses.

Intriguingly, despite Shin’s keen observations and wariness of Glorio, Goku seemingly remains oblivious to the risks, disregarding Shin’s cautions. A potential betrayal from Glorio could take Goku completely by surprise.

As fresh developments regarding Glorio emerge in the coming weeks, viewers can expect deeper insights into his motivations and his connection with Arinsu. Stay tuned for detailed updates as they unfold.
