At the 2024 event ‘Naruto and Boruto: Night at Konoha,’ organized by CGR Events in France, Kishimoto and the co-author of Boruto were present at the press conference. They were asked numerous questions about their expertise during the fest.
During the interview, the Naruto Creator was questioned about his future aspirations as a manga author. He answered that he does have a goal, but currently, the most significant priority for him is to prioritize spending quality time with his family.
Additionally, he expressed his adoration for the moments spent with his fans and expressed his desire for more of them. In his opinion, these moments serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for embarking on new projects.
Is the new Kishimoto Manga on the Horizon?
Kishimoto’s statement has caused speculation among fans that a new manga series may be in the works. However, if this is indeed the case, it is unlikely to be released in the near future.
Currently, he is occupied with the production of the second installment of the Boruto series called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, in collaboration with illustrator Mikio Ikemoto. The manga has been well-received, solidifying its position as one of the top-selling new-generation manga.

Based on his appearance, it seems that he is taking his time to ensure that his next work does not face the same challenges as his previous work, Samurai 8. Naruto chronicles the story of a young ninja who is inhabited by a nine-tailed beast, as he strives to become the Hokage of his village. The animation for the series was produced by studio Pierrot and spans 720 episodes, depicting Naruto’s growth from childhood to adulthood.
After Ukyō Kodachi stepped down, Kishimoto took over as the writer for Boruto, the sequel series to Naruto. Boruto continues the story of the next generation of ninjas, with Naruto’s son as the main character. The anime adaptation of Boruto, produced by Pierrot, currently has 294 episodes.
