Is crossplay available in NBA 2K25?
NBA 2K25 will have cross-platform play between gamers on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, this option will only be available between these two consoles and will not include players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The FAQ page for the game, which can be found on the official website of the NBA 2K franchise, confirms that players on PS5 and Series X|S can participate in cross-platform competition during co-op matches and online tournaments. This feature was first introduced in NBA 2K24 and has been brought back for players to enjoy once again this year.
Despite NBA 2K25 being available on PC for the first time, players were left wondering if the new-gen version of the game would include crossplay functionality for PC. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that PC will not be included in this year’s crossplay feature.
OFFICIAL: NBA 2K25 on PC will be New Gen, which means that all associated modes and features, excluding crossplay, will be available to play on PC via Steam. This includes MyCAREER, MyTEAM, Play Now and, for the first time on PC – ProPLAY, The City, MyNBA Eras, and The W.

How to Turn Off Crossplay on PlayStation & Xbox
PlayStation
- Launch NBA 2K25 and navigate to the main menu.
- Navigate to the Features section and choose Settings.
- Scroll down to locate the Crossplay setting.
- Toggle Crossplay from off to on.
Xbox
- Open the Xbox menu and navigate to Settings
- Scroll down and click on Account, then choose Privacy & Online Safety.
- To maintain your privacy settings on Xbox, click on the option for Xbox Privacy and then select View details & customize.
- Select the option for Communication & Multiplayer.
- Navigate to the section labeled “You can join cross-network play”and adjust the setting from “allow”to “block.”
NBA 2K25 Cross-Progression Explained
NBA 2K25 allows for cross-progression across platforms within the same console family for MyTeam progress and VC Wallet funds.
The ability to transfer progress between PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo is not supported. This feature is limited to consoles within the same family.

Regarding MyTeam, the following falls under cross-progression: “all MyTEAM Points, cards, and progress.”The developers have also made it clear that VC will be transferable between consoles within the same family.
