Ever since covering the events after the time skip, the Boruto series has been filled with important moments in the recent Two Blue Vortex chapters. The consistent plot progression has made the manga incredibly intriguing, while also raising the stakes to an even higher level.
Despite the release of the recent chapters, many fans have been wondering whether Sasuke is dead in Boruto. However, the answer to this question is no. In the manga series, Sasuke is still alive. However, his current situation is critical and it will require the protagonist’s immediate intervention to ensure his survival.
Please note: This article contains major spoilers from the manga chapters.
Does Sasuke meet his end in Boruto?
As mentioned previously, Sasuke is still alive in the manga series. However, he is currently sealed away due to the Shinju’s involvement. Three years before the events that are currently being explored in the manga, Sasuke left the village with the protagonist. This three-year period is referred to as the timeskip. While the manga did not show what occurred during this time, it did provide some information. To summarize, the protagonist received training from Sasuke.
During those three years, he dedicated himself to intense training and was able to surpass Sasuke in terms of both combat abilities and strength. Meanwhile, Code was secretly scheming against the protagonist and had obtained the pseudo-Ten-Tailed Beast.
His mindless clones possessed ninjutsu abilities and caused chaos by sealing people all over Konohagakure. Among the many noteworthy shinobi affected was Sasuke Uchiha.
Whenever a shinobi was sealed by the Ten-Tail clone, it would gain consciousness and take on the appearance of the sealed shinobi. This would trigger an intense desire to kill and consume the person closest to the one who was sealed.
In this scenario, Sasuke’s clone has a desire to end the life of his daughter, Sarada Uchiha. Despite this, Sasuke is still alive and present in the series. However, there is a sense of urgency as any delay from the protagonist may lead to the demise of Sasuke.
Despite being sealed, his chakra continues to be drained and used by the clone. If all of his chakra is depleted, Sasuke will eventually perish. Fortunately, there is hope that the protagonist will intervene before it’s too late. Additionally, there is the possibility of him teaming up with his younger sister, who has fully embraced her role as the Nine-Tailed Beast Jinchuriki.
Including Sarada in the manga could also serve as a way to display her growth as a shinobi. Additionally, having Sasuke’s daughter rescue him would bring a poetic conclusion to the battle against the Shinjus in the manga.
In conclusion, it should be noted that Sasuke is not deceased in Boruto and is currently trapped by the Shinju. Additionally, it is possible that the main protagonist, his sister, and Sarada may have a part to play in setting him free.
