Modern Warfare 3 offers a plethora of content to keep players entertained, such as a campaign, Zombies mode, and multiplayer. Fans of the CoD series may be familiar with the split-screen feature in past titles, leading them to wonder if they can enjoy MW3 with friends on the same system.
Is COD: Modern Warfare 3 Split-Screen Compatible?
While the split-screen feature is available in Modern Warfare 3, it is only accessible in multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, split-screen is not an option in Zombies or the campaign modes.
In MW3’s multiplayer, there are certain game modes that cannot be played in split-screen, including Free-For-All and Infected. If you attempt to play these modes, a message will appear instructing you to disconnect the second player. This rule is in place to maintain the competitive integrity of the matches.
Split-screen allows you to play MW3 with a friend on the same system and monitor.

Can You Use Split-Screen on a PC?
Unfortunately, playing MW3 split-screen on PC is not possible as the feature is exclusively available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Split-screen is a highly sought-after feature for fans of couch co-op games, and it is hoped that it will make a return when Black Ops 6 releases on October 25, 2024. Additionally, it has been confirmed that round-based Zombies will also be making a comeback in the new Treyarch title, raising hopes for the potential inclusion of split-screen as in previous installments.
