On June 13th, Sports Chosun published an exclusive report stating that Yeon Jung-hoon, an actor, will no longer be a part of KBS 2TV’s variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4”.
After enjoying about four years of wonderful companionship, Yeon Jung-hoon will be leaving the program as a new member who joined in December 2019.
The announcement of this news, less than a week after Na In-woo’s departure was revealed, has caused disappointment among devoted viewers due to the consecutive departures of important members.
After extensive discussions with the production team, it was decided that Yeon Jung-hoon would leave in order to devote more time to his main career and further pursue his acting journey.
As they had spent a considerable amount of time together, they decided to have a lovely farewell, encouraging and backing each other’s future pursuits.
The media reported that the production team fully supported Yeon Jung-hoon’s decision and enthusiastically encouraged his new pursuits.
Upon leading the team as the “big brother”of Season 4, Yeon Jung-hoon displayed exceptional chemistry with the younger members.
He is anticipated to exhibit a strong sense of brotherhood during his last recording.
The production team is said to be devoting considerable effort to Yeon Jung-hoon’s last recording. Nonetheless, no specific broadcast date or details about his replacement have been finalized yet.
It seems that “2 Days & 1 Night” is making major changes. In addition to Na In-woo and Yeon Jung-hoon, PD Lee Jung-kyu, who had been at the helm of the show for approximately two years and two months, has also resigned.
Speculation about the possibility of a new season has arisen since PD Joo Jong-hyun, who previously co-directed, will now be taking the lead.
At the same time, the permanent members of “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” consist of singer Kim Jong-min, comedian Moon Se-yoon, rapper DinDin, actors Yeon Jung-hoon, Na In-woo, and Yoo Seon-ho.
