Is The Gold Ridge Beast Worth Buying in Black Myth: Wukong?

Ever since its release, Black Myth: Wukong has been generating buzz among the gaming community. Due to its narrative-driven gameplay, the progression is somewhat limited. However, the inclusion of Chapters adds an intriguing open-world element and keeps players invested in the unfinished story.

One particular aspect of the open world that is often overlooked by players is the Man-In-Stone quest. Completing this quest not only unlocks a new merchant NPC, but also grants players access to a highly potent transformation. Among the items offered by this NPC is the Gold Ridge Beast.

It is advisable for players to avoid purchasing the Gold Ridge Beast in Black Myth: Wukong. This item has no apparent purpose and is sold by the fraudulent NPC, the Man-In-Stone. Furthermore, players will only receive 6,000 Will when selling it back, despite the Man-in-Stone’s price of 12,800 Will.

The Gold Ridge Beast can be acquired from a merchant NPC who happens to be a conceited and bothersome Boss that must be defeated. After being vanquished by Wukong in Chapter 2, the Man-In-Stone NPC transforms into a salesman.

Through their encounter with the Man-In-Stone, players become familiar with his true nature. It is only logical to proceed with caution when dealing with the Boss-turned-manager of the new shop.

Therefore, if you happen to obtain this item from a boss, you can sell it for a good price and use the Will you receive to purchase weapons. However, as you progress to Chapter 3, the cost of these weapons significantly increases. It would be unwise to recklessly spend valuable Will, especially in the beginning stages of the game. Remember, you can always return to use it if necessary.

How to Get the Gold Ridge Beast?

In order to obtain the Gold Ridge Beast, players must successfully complete the subjugation quest for Man-In-Stone. This hidden quest is found in Chapter 2 of the game Black Myth: Wukong. Once the quest is completed, the Boss will transform into a merchant NPC. Additionally, the item may also be obtained as a random drop from Bosses in the game.

The Man-In-Stone Boss can be a source of frustration for players who come across it, as it is known for its mocking and disruptive behavior. However, defeating this boss can bring about several advantages, such as unlocking a new shop where players can utilize their Will.

The Man-In-Stone has established a shop stocked with a variety of items available for purchase. This NPC is accessible at all times. The priciest item offered by the Man-In-Stone in his shop is the Gold Ridge.

The second advantage is the Transformation Spell, Azure Dust, which is considerably stronger than the average spells available in Chapter 2 of the story. The Man-In-Stone store offers the Gold Ridge Beast, the most expensive item that can be purchased with the spell.

Grinding Bosses as usual is the most effective method for obtaining the Gold Ridge Beast. It will eventually be obtained through this process, rather than actively searching for it. Purchasing the Gold Ridge Beast from the Man-In-Stone’s shop requires a significant amount of Will, making it an overpriced option in comparison to its actual value.
