The upcoming sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will offer a variety of both PvP and PvE multiplayer modes for players to enjoy with their friends. Additionally, the game will include an Operations Mode with missions designed for high replayability. However, it is currently unknown if Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will have crossplay support. Here is all the information we have at this time.
Does Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Have Crossplay Support?
Currently, there has been no official announcement from Focus Entertainment or Saber Interactive regarding the inclusion of crossplay support in Space Marine 2.
Despite thorough examination, no mention of crossplay can be found on any of the store pages. The “Cross-Platform”tag, typically present for games that support cross-platform play, is not featured on Steam’s page, nor is the “Xbox Cross-Platform Multiplayer”tag on the Microsoft Store page. Furthermore, the recent FAQ posted on Steam fails to mention crossplay as well.
Although it is possible that crossplay functionality will be announced before its release, at the moment it appears that players will only be able to team up with friends on the same platform. We will be sure to provide an update if there is any direct confirmation from the publisher or developer.
The game’s release is still a ways off, but hopefully, the beta that was promised last year will return soon.
