A photo has become widely shared in South Korea, leaving many viewers unsure whether the person captured in the image is BIGBANG’s G-Dragon or EXO’s Xiumin.
A post titled “I was initially unsure if this was G-Dragon or Xiumin”was uploaded to Instiz, a highly popular online community forum in South Korea, on June 12, 2024.
The original poster shared a black-and-white image of a man in the post. The photo captures the man staring at the camera with puffed-up cheeks and a slightly scrunched nose. His bangs frame his face and delicately brush against the bridge of his nose.
Korean netizens were quick to mistake the person in the photo for Xiumin of EXO, with his round eyes and plump cheeks. The male idol is renowned for his charming marshmallow-like appearance, youthful features, and full cheeks.
Despite initial assumptions, the person in the photo is not Xiumin. In fact, it is G-Dragon!
The two have been compared before, and fans have even pointed out that they look almost identical from certain angles. This can be attributed to their similar facial and eye features.
Despite the evidence presented, there were still doubters who could not believe that the person in the photo was G-Dragon. Many expressed their confusion and were quick to point out the striking similarities between the two male idols.
