At their comeback showcase, TWS was questioned about their rumored rivalry with RIIZE. Is there animosity between the two fifth-generation boy bands?
TWS hosted a showcase for their debut mini-album, “SUMMER BEAT!,”at the Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on June 24, 2024.
At the event, Youngjae was asked about his feelings towards RIIZE, a group that is also making a comeback. He shared that TWS and RIIZE have a close relationship instead of a competitive one.
“He shared, “Whenever we cross paths with RIIZE backstage, we make sure to warmly greet each other. Our goal is to continue our journey together for a long time. It is truly an honor to perform on stage alongside esteemed senior artists who are making their comebacks.”
When questioned about TWS’s distinct advantages compared to other refreshing concept groups, he responded, “Our colorful freshness is our greatest strength,”alluding to the group’s multifaceted appeal.
The album consists of 6 songs in total, which comprise of the title track “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?”and the pre-released single “hey! hey!”, along with “You + Me = 7942,””Double Take,””Keep On,”and “Fire Confetti.”
The song “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?”serves as a metaphor for a relationship, comparing it to the poles of a magnet. It conveys the excitement of discovering the various reasons why opposites attract. The track’s distinctive bright and refreshing musical style, a trademark of TWS, is showcased in this song.
On June 24 at 6 PM KST, TWS’s mini-album “SUMMER BEAT!”was made available for release.
