IShowSpeed Opens Up About Career and Kick Offers
In a revealing conversation with fellow content creator Jon Youshaei, IShowSpeed shared insights about his career trajectory, leading to an intriguing discussion about the streaming platform Kick.
Kick’s Investment in Streamers
During the video posted on December 13, Youshaei, who has a background as a former YouTube employee, brought up the substantial offers Kick had made to notable streamers such as Adin Ross and xQc. He then turned the conversation towards Speed, inquiring whether he had received a similar enticing offer.
“Has Kick offered me $100 million?” Speed asked jokingly, momentarily contemplating his response.
“Yeah, me and Kick, we did talk back in 2023, I think,” Speed clarified, noting that there were conversations between the two sides, but nothing substantial came out of those discussions. However, he refrained from revealing whether financial offers were part of the negotiations.
The Streaming Boom
Youshaei also sought Speed’s perspective on the increasing financial stakes in streaming. The vibrant streamer, recognized for his dynamic personality and adventurous IRL streams, provided a straightforward answer:
“Because it’s 2024 now. Streaming is the sh*t. This is a new era and streaming is on top of that. I’m glad to be part of that.”

Turning Down Lucrative Deals
When asked about some of the most impressive business deals he had been offered, Speed, while remaining vague about specifics, shared his experience with substantial financial propositions.
“There’s been deals where obviously it’s a lot of money. A lot of money. When I say a lot of money, it’s like, you know, jaw-dropping money that came our way,” he stated.
He elaborated on why he decided to decline these offers, expressing his belief that accepting such deals might compromise his identity or the authenticity of his content.
Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, Speed expressed a bold ambition: he hopes to collaborate with Elon Musk to become the first streamer to host a live broadcast from space. While this endeavor is certainly ambitious, he faces notable competition, particularly from Twitch superstar Kai Cenat, who has voiced similar ambitions. Could a partnership be in the works?
