YouTuber IShowSpeed and soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo have joined forces to support a young orphan named Francisco, generously donating $100,000 to his Slingshot fund, initiated by Instagram influencer MDMotivator.
On June 26, 2024, an explosion, the cause of which remains “unknown,” shattered Francisco’s home, resulting in the tragic loss of his mother, sister, and father.
Francisco, who spent a week and a half in a coma after the explosion, has now returned home to live with his aunt. He now requires a walker for mobility and has suffered multiple burns on his hands and abdomen.
Following this devastating event, Zachery Dereniowski, commonly known as MD Motivator, has made it his mission to assist Francisco through his latest fundraising efforts.
On September 8, 2024, the well-known influencer, boasting 5.5 million followers on Instagram, shared a video on his account detailing Francisco’s story and a memorable moment when Cristiano Ronaldo visited and contributed to his cause.
Prior to this heartfelt meeting, Francisco received a video message from IShowSpeed, where the YouTuber, who admires Cristiano Ronaldo, expressed his condolences and excitedly informed Francisco that CR7 and the entire Portuguese team would be visiting him.
“It’s Speed here. I’m sorry for your loss, man, and I heard about your story, Francisco. You are a strong kid. But I have a surprise for you, Francisco; you will be meeting Ronaldo,” said IShowSpeed.
The video then transitions to a montage highlighting Francisco’s encounter with the entire Portuguese soccer team, culminating in Ronaldo giving the young boy a big hug.
The campaign for Francisco has successfully raised over $100,000, with contributions continuing to roll in.
“Thank you for all the money; now I will be able to rebuild my future,” expressed Francisco, beaming with joy after meeting his soccer hero and knowing that his educational and medical expenses will be taken care of.
