Streaming sensation IShowSpeed has shattered his own viewership record, a milestone that had remained intact since the Balon d’Or awards, just days into his extensive Asia trip.
IShowSpeed is a name that’s become synonymous with modern streaming culture. The 19-year-old has evolved into arguably the most prominent streamer worldwide in recent years, transitioning from simply broadcasting FIFA in his bedroom to embarking on global adventures.
His IRL (In Real Life) streams, where he explores various countries and connects with fans, have occasionally led to chaotic situations. He has faced police pursuits due to large crowds following him and has even spent thousands on damages incurred to rental vehicles.
During his latest adventure, Speed is traversing Asia as part of the Gumball 3000 Rally. While he won’t be participating in the rally from Saigon to Singapore in its entirety, he plans to visit multiple nations.
Speed kicked off this adventure in Thailand on September 9, and within just one day, he broke his record for concurrent viewership on a live stream.
His September 10 stream, which featured a visit to an animal park to meet tigers and participate in a boxing match on a pole, reached an astonishing peak of 612,000 viewers, eclipsing his former record of 548,000 viewers during the 2023 Balon d’Or.

Speed was astonished to learn he had outdone himself. “This is my most viewed stream ever? What the heck!” he exclaimed after noticing he had 572,000 viewers.
“In Thailand though! Bro, what? Nah, this is my most viewed live stream! Y’all, this is insane.”
With a timestamp of 4:39:10.
It may be a challenge for Speed to surpass this impressive figure, especially considering his previous record stood for over a year.
Nevertheless, his trip across Asia has started with a bang. Just moments into his Thailand streams, Speed “almost died” during an elephant ride and even crashed a Tuk Tuk rickshaw.
