IShowSpeed’s Brother Reveals Frustrations with YouTube Fame and Why He Refuses Future Appearances

IShowSpeed’s brother, Jamal, recently addressed his decreased presence on Speed’s streams, revealing that it “ticks me off” whenever people mention his sibling’s rising fame.

As IShowSpeed has become one of the most popular live streamers, the YouTube sensation has featured numerous guests. Among them are Cristiano Ronaldo—both the real and an impostor—Kim Kardashian, Kai Cenat, and even various political figures.

Jamal, Speed’s brother, was previously a regular guest, particularly during streams hosted from their family home.

However, with Speed’s content expanding into larger projects focused on IRL (In Real Life) adventures around the globe, Jamal and other family members have been making fewer appearances.

Jamal expressed his desire to step back, stating he wants to enjoy life without the constant comparison to his famous brother. “Let’s say I wanna be a regular kid. I wanna do stuff without a famous brother,”Jamal mentioned during one of his own streams. He added, “I don’t wanna have my brother be the main center of attention like every time I go to school. They bring up Speed and you know, yadda yadda yadda, it ticks me off.” source

He also mentioned his intention to “hop off” his brother’s streams for at least a couple of years and indicated that he won’t be making future appearances.

“I wanna cut contact with everybody over there and just be myself, bro,” Jamal elaborated. “You know what I’m saying? Take a break off Speed’s streams, take a break off like streaming in general, and start, you know, worrying about myself.”

Despite Jamal stepping back, IShowSpeed’s career continues to thrive. He is collaborating with artists like Lil Durk and Kai Cenat on new music and is even set to launch his own flavor of PRIME Hydration.
