Island Boys’ Kodiyakredd arrested for reckless driving in Florida

Franky ‘KodiyakRedd’ Venegas, one of the Island Boys, was taken into custody in Florida for reckless driving.

On May 25, 2024, it was reported by TMZ that Franky ‘KodiyakRedd’ Venegas of Island Boys was taken into custody in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for reckless driving and “other offenses.”

The exact actions performed by Venegas that led to his charges remain undisclosed at the time of writing, however TMZ has reportedly contacted the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for clarification on the matter.

According to the report, KodiyakRedd was charged with three separate offenses, including driving without a valid license, possessing a false ID, and driving recklessly.

Prior to being taken to the local jail, Kodiyak shared a video on his Instagram Stories. In the now-deleted upload, he can be heard saying, “I’m getting arrested for no reason, man.”Hours later, the social media personality posted again to inform his followers that he had been released from jail.

Despite being released, he has continued to share several short clips on his Instagram Story. However, he has not addressed the reason for his recent jail time. If he does, we will make sure to update this article accordingly.

Redd has a history of being incarcerated in Fort Lauderdale. In May 2023, he was taken into custody for reportedly committing domestic violence against his girlfriend at the time. However, the accusations were dismissed after 10 days.

The duo co-hosted a Peacock special on New Year’s Eve where they provided their reactions to the Island Boys, playfully labeling them as “two silly individuals lounging in a pool.”
