A video of Doh Kyung-soo, known as Exo’s D.O., was uploaded on May 13th to IU Official’s YouTube channel.
In the video, IU expressed her admiration for Doh Kyung-soo by stating, “I am a big fan of his musical talent.”She then inquired, “Have you chosen a name for your fan club?”To which Doh Kyung-soo replied, “Not yet, I am still deciding.”IU’s excitement was apparent as she exclaimed, “That’s wonderful!”and applauded.
IU then suggested, “According to the script, I should ask you if we can brainstorm ideas here. After watching this, I had a lot of ideas and couldn’t sleep well last night!”
“As she spoke, she expressed her excitement about coming up with a name for the fan club. She shared that she had stayed up all night brainstorming and had come up with nine potential names. One of her suggestions was “NADO”, which combined the first two letters of her name and the initials of her favorite artist. She also proposed names like “DDODASHI”, “DDOLANG DDOLANG”, “DDOREMI”, and “DDOTTENTION”.”
During the conversation, IU mentioned, “I’m suddenly getting sweaty.”Feeling uncomfortable about introducing the adorable names for the fandom to Doh Kyung-soo, IU promptly concluded the suggestions and proceeded to the next subject, which resulted in laughter.
In addition, IU brought up the changes in Doh Kyung-soo’s photo cards throughout the years. She noted, “Fans unanimously agree that Doh Kyung-soo has shown remarkable improvement in his photo card selfies.”
Upon seeing a 2017 official photo card of himself with a shaved head, Doh Kyung-soo expressed, “What was I even thinking? What was going through my mind?” This caused IU to burst into laughter. He went on to clarify the reason behind the photo, stating, “I was filming for ‘Swing Kids’ where I played a North Korean soldier, hence the shaved head. I must have taken the photo during that time, although I can’t recall why. I suppose I was just feeling a bit eccentric.”
Upon comparing it to a 2024 photo card, IU commended the remarkable improvement. Doh Kyung-soo credited the staff for their assistance, stating that taking selfies still proved to be a difficult task. He explained that the staff would hold the phone for him and adjust the angle, and despite his attempts to study and experiment with different poses, he still disliked how he looked on the screen.
