In a recent conversation with Billboard, the talented artist IU revealed details about her forthcoming projects in drama and music slated for 2025.

“When Life Gives You Tangerines” is a drama where the entire crew worked incredibly hard and gave it their all. I’m thrilled to be promoting this project.

A Glimpse into “When Life Gives You Tangerines”

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Jeju Island in the 1950s, the drama showcases the spirited lives of two individuals deeply rooted in the island’s culture. IU will portray the character Ae Sun, a strong-willed and intelligent girl who embodies resilience, consistently defying the limitations placed upon her. Opposite her, Park Bo Gum takes on the role of Gwan Sik, a quiet yet passionate young man deeply in love with Ae Sun.

Future Plans: Diverse Projects Ahead

Looking ahead, IU has more than one project on the horizon. She stated, “I will also be starring in another work with a completely different vibe—seductive and humorous. Although I’ve been focusing on acting throughout the year, I’ve also started working on new music projects. Fans won’t have to wait long to enjoy something fresh.”

Iconic Status and Musical Success

With a stellar career spanning both music and acting, IU has rightfully earned the moniker “Nation’s Little Sister.” Recently, she further solidified her status by being honored as Korea’s representative for Billboard’s Global No.1 Artist series.
