On May 16th, as fans across the country gathered to celebrate IU’s birthday with various cafe events, her act of giving back to them touched their hearts.
IU organized a special event for the 7th generation members of her official fan club Uaena, which included pre-paying for 100 drinks and distributing exclusive photo cards. She made sure to show her appreciation to fans not just in Seoul, but also in other areas including Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, Changwon, and Jeonju, with a total of 12 locations outside of Seoul.
These cafes were reserved in advance by fans for birthday celebrations. IU’s unexpected repayment event heightened the emotional impact for her fans.
