IVE Jang Wonyoung Revealed to Have Been Injured During ‘I AM’ Filming
During a guest appearance on MBC FM4U’s “GOT7 Youngjae’s Close Friend”on the 12th, director Son Seung Hee, who directed the music video for IVE’s “I AM,”expressed her gratitude towards IVE Jang Wonyoung.
According to her, the K-pop star injured her arm while dancing and required seven stitches.
Director Son said:
“There were about two episodes left to film, and I thought we couldn’t proceed due to Jang Wonyoung’s injury.”
The director went on:
“However, she went to the emergency room for two consecutive days to get stitches, and then she returned to the set and flawlessly completed all the scenes.
What impressed me the most was her lack of expression of hardship. It’s something I would have boasted about when I was her age.”
She further explained:
“The choreography for ‘I AM’ involves stretching your arms in a cool way. While monitoring the performance on set, I could feel the pain in her arm. It was heartbreaking to witness her executing such powerful choreography despite her injury.”
IVE Jang Wonyoung Praised for Professionalism
The director continued narrating about IVE Jang Wonyoung’s injury, and praised the young idol for her professionalism.
According to her, Wonyoung didn’t reveal any discomfort despite having been injured.
“Among the scenes that were praised for their coolness, many of them wouldn’t have been possible if Jang Wonyoung hadn’t wholeheartedly committed to them despite her injury.”
