According to a statement from Starship Entertainment, Ahn Yu-jin has been selected as the host for the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon SUMMER, which will take place at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjong-do, Incheon on July 21st.
Ahn Yu-jin will once again take on the role of MC for Gayo Daejeon SUMMER this year, marking her third consecutive year as the host of this K-pop festival. Known for her confident hosting abilities and clever remarks, she is anticipated to captivate audiences from the start of the event by introducing performances from popular K-pop artists who have made a significant impact in the first half of 2024.
In addition to her MC duties, Ahn Yu-jin’s performances with the members of IVE also garner significant interest from fans around the world.
The connection between Ahn Eun-jin and Gayo Daejeon dates back to her time as a female idol MC on SBS’s “Inkigayo”from March 2021 to March 2022. Praised for her composed demeanor and expertise as an MC, Ahn Yu-jin was chosen to host Gayo Daejeon in 2022 and 2023. This year, she will return as the main host for the third time, continuing to lead an unforgettable summer music festival.
At the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 19th, Ahn Yu-jin was awarded the WHY NOT Award for her contributions to the streaming industry through innovative ideas and bold challenges. She is currently on a world tour with her group IVE.
In the meantime, fans eagerly anticipate the dynamic chemistry between Ahn Yu-jin, NCT’s Doyoung, and TXT’s Yeonjun as they come together to host the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon SUMMER, as well as IVE’s highly anticipated performance.
