J.Y. Park’s Attempts to Limit NMIXX’s Haewon’s Versatility on Radio Star

On the episode of MBC’s “Radio Star”that aired on August 28th, Haewon was a guest and shared her story of becoming the first official comedian under JYP Entertainment, a company known for its strict and serious reputation.

“She mentioned, “I have been referred to as the successor to senior Jo Kwon. Despite a significant gap in our debuts, I hold the distinction of being the first official comedian.”

Haewon answered, “I was the type to be the class clown in school, always goofing around behind the lockers,”when questioned about her natural sense of humor.

During her conversation, Haewon recounted an encounter with J.Y. Park. She disclosed, “I expressed my concerns to PD J.Y. Park about my apprehension towards appearing on variety shows and not knowing how to approach them. He advised me, ‘You’re a singer after all, so just be yourself and don’t force humor.’ However, I later saw him imitating others during his appearance on ‘Radio Star’.”

Upon hearing this, Kim Gura made a playful remark saying, “JYP must just want to be the comedian in his own artist lineup.”Haewon then added, “Maybe he’s just trying to keep me in line?”This caused the studio to burst into laughter.

On August 19th, Haewon returned with NMIXX’s third mini-album “Fe3O4: STICK OUT”including the title track “See that?”.
