Streamers are buzzing with activity, as Jack Doherty makes his reappearance on TikTok Live after a scandalous car accident that’s ignited outrage online.
Since sustaining damage on October 5, 2024, after crashing his McLaren during a live stream while engaging in texting, Doherty has faced immense backlash. The incident, which occurred in rainy conditions and was broadcasted, has led to an indefinite ban on the Kick platform for what was deemed “endangerment.”
In the wake of the crash, Adin Ross, a co-owner of Kick, revealed that Doherty could only return to the platform if he pays a hefty fee of $300,000. Notably, other prominent figures in the streaming community, including xQc, Nadeshot, and NICKMERCS, condemned Doherty for his irresponsible behavior behind the wheel.
Even though he has refrained from addressing the negative feedback publicly, Jack Doherty launched back into TikTok LIVE without a Kick presence. During the stream, he focused on soliciting gifts and likes, which left viewers astonished.

When questioned about the car crash, Doherty briefly explained his situation, claiming, “I hydroplaned. I literally hydroplaned. I’m driving a McLaren in heavy rain. What did people expect? None of you have ever driven a McLaren.”
Notably absent from his remarks were any acknowledgments regarding texting while driving or the speed at which he was traveling at the time of the accident.
As donations started rolling in during the livestream, many viewers expressed their disbelief in an online thread accompanying a clip. “It’s wild to donate to a kid who drives multiple supercars,” one commented. Another added, “Those who give gifts shouldn’t have a say.”
Some criticized Doherty for seeking financial support for “his mistake.” Regardless of the damning video evidence that surfaced from the incident, no formal legal actions have been reported as of yet.
This incident isn’t the first controversy involving Doherty. Previously, he faced criticism when his security guard was sued for assault, and he came under fire for hosting a ‘fight club’ event resulting in a woman being knocked out.
