So, you have ended up confined within the frigid walls of the jail in the Pagoda Realm, huh?
I can feel that you, the Chosen One, are struggling with the enigmatic purple seal that is obstructing your path. Behind these sealed doors, important NPCs, hidden treasures, and unknown mysteries await. To gain access, you must first defeat a formidable boss and obtain the key.
Allow me to lead you in discovering the world that lies beyond the purple seals. Overcome this boss and the way forward will be illuminated.
Unlocking Purple Seal Doors in Pagoda Realm
After defeating Kang-Jin Loong in Black Myth: Wukong’s Chapter 3, you will awaken in the Pagoda Realm’s prison. As you explore, you will come across prison cells sealed with a purple mark that cannot be forced open.
To break through this obstacle, your task is to locate and defeat Captain Lotus-Vision, a formidable Yaoguai leader. By absorbing his essence, the seals will be unlocked, allowing entry into previously unattainable regions.
By doing this, you will be able to interact with the first NPC and discover the concealed mysteries within the Pagoda’s locked chambers.
Locating the Boss Fight
After waking up in the dimly lit jail cell of the Pagoda Realm, make your way out and onto the narrow ledge that encircles the expansive, cavernous room. Turn to your left and you will come across another cell next to yours, which is sealed with a perplexing purple circle magic seal. Interact with the NPC inside and then proceed along the ledge, passing by the Lantern Wardens positioned along the railing, until you reach the first Keeper’s Shrine.
Starting from the shrine, proceed into the neighboring prison cell and make your way through the tunnel located behind the cells. Eventually, you will reach another part of the ledge. Continue following it until you reach a set of stairs. Upon reaching a fork in the path, take the path on the right, which will loop around and lead you through various twists and turns. Utilize the wooden beam to cross over to a smaller ledge, being careful to avoid the watchful eye of an archer stationed above.
Navigate through the narrow passageway and vanquish the enemy stationed near the slope. Climb the slope and encounter a red-haired yaksha. You have the option to engage in battle and defeat him or bypass him and continue forward. Ultimately, arrive at the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine, activate it, and save your game.
3. Defeating Captain Lotus-Vision
From the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine, descend onto the roof and proceed towards the left. From this viewpoint, intentionally leap down to enter a difficult confrontation with Captain Lotus-Vision, a formidable leader of the Yaoguai.
- Captain Lotus Vision is a floating statue boss that casts homing magical spells and summons stationary turrets firing ground beams.
- The confrontation with Captain Lotus-Vision is akin to a swift blade slicing through flesh, demanding quick reflexes and strategic evasions. As Captain Lotus-Vision is particularly skilled in long-range attacks, it is imperative to close the gap between them.
- Utilize potent skills such as freeze to immobilize the Captain, unleash a barrage of strikes, or utilize Pluck of Many to maintain a defensive position. The nearby checkpoint guarantees a full mana bar, enabling you to immobilize the Captain and unleash devastating attacks.
- When launching projectiles, be sure to utilize staff spin to effectively deflect them. It is important to be cautious of laser beams, as they cause significant damage and cannot be deflected by the staff.
- It is important to save your stamina for sprinting, attacking, and dodging projectiles, as the Captain is known for frequently teleporting around the arena. Consider investing in skills that boost your stamina in order to improve your overall strategy and overcome this difficult encounter.
Upon successfully defeating Captain Lotus-Vision, you will acquire his Spirit which will then be stored in your Key Items inventory. This will allow the purple seals on the prison cells to be released automatically.
Acquiring the Ashen Slumber Spell
To leave the area, make your way to the back of the room where the gates were previously locked. Then, climb up the slope on the left and drop down to return to the starting beam. From there, go back to the Lower Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine and enter the prison cell that was previously sealed.
Upon entering, engage with the NPC and obtain the sword from the vanquished two-headed rat, resulting in you obtaining the Ashen Slumber spell. This formidable transmutation spell, which becomes available after overcoming Captain Lotus-Vision and releasing the NPC, enables you to metamorphose into a Rat Guai, unleashing ferocious slashes and fiery infernos that inflict the Scorch Bane on adversaries.
Having defeated the Captain and obtained the Ashen Slumber spell, you are now one step closer to unraveling the mysteries of the Pagoda Realm. May the blessings guide your journey and may your legendary quest as the Destined One continue!
