Logan and Jake Paul have caught the attention of a former boxing champion who has proposed a unique opportunity: a tag team boxing match. This intriguing suggestion comes amidst a series of unusual challenges that the Paul brothers have received over the past few years.
Logan Paul, known for his high-profile bout against boxing legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and his brother Jake, who recently claimed victory over ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, have both experienced an upsurge in match offers. Jake’s recent win has notably intensified interest, with heavyweight champion ‘Dynamite’ Daniel Dubois expressing a desire to square off with him. Additionally, boxing hall of famer Carl Froch has also shown interest, cheekily saying he would take on Jake with one arm tied behind his back.
In an exciting twist, Jake has attracted attention from some of Tyson’s former opponents, including Roy Jones Jr., who expressed a wish to “test”Jake in the ring. This adds another layer of potential matchups for the rising star.
Roy Jones Jr. Proposes Tag Team Match with the Paul Brothers
Roy Jones Jr. has publicly conveyed his interest in forming a tag team with another heavyweight legend to face Jake and Logan Paul. He indicates a clear enthusiasm for a collaboration reminiscent of the tag team matches seen in KSI’s X Series events. In a recent interview, he stated, “I would most definitely do a tag-team matchup against Jake Paul and his brother. That idea sounds great to me.”
When asked about his potential partner for this matchup, Roy didn’t hesitate: “I’d probably choose Lennox Lewis as my partner. Lennox is a big heavyweight, and both those brothers are big heavyweights. Lennox was a heavyweight champion, and I was a heavyweight champion. But I was never a true heavyweight. So if I’m going to fight two heavyweights, why not give me a heavyweight, too?”
Despite pursuing different career paths, Jake and Logan Paul maintain a supportive bond.
It’s worth noting that while Roy Jones Jr. is open to a one-on-one fight with Jake, integrating Logan into the equation represents an uncharted first for the siblings. Interestingly, Jake has plans to make his MMA debut in 2025, with his victory over Tyson initially intended to conclude his boxing journey for a time. However, he is still entertaining offers, including interest from Tommy Fury, leading fans to wonder what the future holds for the Paul brothers in the combat sports arena.
