Jake Paul admits family is concerned over “scary” Mike Tyson fight

Jake Paul disclosed that his mother is extremely concerned about his match against Mike Tyson, as she is not fond of the idea of them facing off in the ring. This unease was amplified after she watched Tyson’s training videos.

In March, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the announcement of a fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. The boxing community was divided, with critics, including both current and former boxers, highlighting the significant age difference between the two opponents.

The YouTube personality-turned-professional boxer had to delay his July match after Mike experienced an ulcer flare-up. However, he has resumed training and the two are preparing to face off in mid-November.

Despite ongoing criticism, some former fighters are still voicing their concerns about the legitimacy of the fight, with some even going as far as calling it a “scam.”Furthermore, there are some who have declared that they will never agree to meet in the ring.

Jake revealed that his mother, Pam Stepnick, would rather he didn’t engage in a war with ‘Iron’ Mike. He assured reporters at a PFL media event that his family will be present regardless.

My mother is quite afraid. She constantly asks me and my team if I am prepared for this, but she is not fond of Mike. He appears intimidating and imposing, and his Instagram videos seem intense. She watches them all and is not pleased.

Jake Paul will face off against boxing legend Mike Tyson live on Netflix in November.

Despite his family’s concerns about his upcoming fight with Mike, Jake remains incredibly self-assured. He has continuously expressed his belief that he will emerge victorious and use this victory as a springboard to greater opportunities.

The WBA has proposed that the 27-year-old boxer could potentially face former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for a title in the near future. However, Jake is currently committed to the PFL and has not yet fulfilled his obligations to the organization.
