Jake Paul has stated that he will not go easy on Mike Tyson in their upcoming superfight. The former YouTuber, now a boxer, acknowledges that Tyson has the potential to embarrass him and he is not taking the fight lightly.
Two months have passed since the announcement that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson would finally be facing off in a July fight, yet the criticism surrounding the event shows no signs of dissipating.
Many boxing enthusiasts, experts, and competitors have highlighted the 31-year age difference between the two fighters, raising concerns about 57-year-old ‘Iron’ Mike’s return to the ring.
Despite claims that Jake Paul has a scripted match-up and that it will be “rigged”in his favor, there have been no signs of this in any of his previous fights. This is particularly noteworthy as his upcoming fight will be broadcast by Netflix and will follow professional rules. Paul has once again dismissed these accusations and remains confident in his abilities to win fairly.
Even though Jake has acknowledged that he won’t go easy on the famous Heavyweight boxer, he still thinks that ‘Iron’ Mike could potentially embarrass him if the opportunity arises.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer stated to TMZ Sports that he would not hold back in the ring, as he knows that if given the chance, his opponent would finish him in an embarrassing manner. He believes that Mike Tyson is a formidable opponent, describing him as a ruthless killer.
The time recorded was 4:40.
“According to Jake, he must tap into Mike Tyson’s ferociousness in order to defeat the champion, who he believes is the most fierce opponent he has ever faced. The legend must be brought down.”
The 27-year-old also pointed out that the magnitude of the fight is “unbelievable” and “illogical” due to its immense popularity. He anticipates a viewership of “hundreds of millions” as well.
Despite being a bold claim, it is what Jake has become renowned for. Additionally, he has consistently proven himself in his boxing career.
