Jake Paul announced that he and Mike Perry have come to an agreement for a rematch, but it will not take place in the boxing ring.
Despite Jake Paul’s announcement of his return to the boxing ring to fight ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, many boxing fans and boxers remained skeptical. The significant age gap between the two and Tyson’s past in the ring were the main concerns.
However, the fight was delayed due to a flare-up of the 58-year-old’s ulcer. In place of Tyson, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, a former UFC fighter and bare-knuckle specialist, was brought in, but ultimately fell victim to Jake’s skills.
Despite being a YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake not only achieved a technical knockout victory over the former UFC star, but he also successfully knocked him down three times. He ultimately deserved the win and quickly disproved any suspicions of the fight being “fixed.”
The social media sensation has announced that he and ‘Platinum’ Mike have come to terms for a rematch. Jake shared on July 25 that he had a conversation with Mike Perry the previous night, praising him as a very honorable individual with more confidence than many other fighters. They have agreed to face each other again in the PFL when the opportunity arises.
Chopped it up with Mike Perry last night. What a stand up dude. More confidence than most of these fighters. We agreed to run it in PFL when the time is right

The former YouTuber, now a boxer, was asked about the potential of leaving the boxing world and entering the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship ranks.
He stated, “Should I decide to leave boxing, my next venture will be PFL. Following that, I am interested in pursuing Dirty Boxing.”
If I’m stepping out of boxing, it’s going to be PFL. After that we can do Dirty Boxing @PlatinumPerry

In mid-2023, Jake signed a multi-year contract with the Professional Fighters League. However, his debut has been postponed due to his prior boxing obligations.
PFL CEO Peter Murray fully supports Jake’s efforts to reach out to fighters for his debut, and they are still aiming for a timely appearance.
The former YouTuber, who is now a boxer, is set to fight Mike Tyson in mid-November. Perhaps, his attention will shift following the match.
