Jake Paul has disclosed that boxing icon Mike Tyson appears to be uninterested in the $5 million wager associated with their upcoming bout, as Tyson is focused on “war mode.”
Upon the announcement of their fight, doubts were prevalent due to the significant age difference, weight disparity, and varying levels of experience between the two fighters.
The initial fight date of July 20 had to be canceled after Tyson experienced a flare-up of an ulcer. The match has now been rescheduled for November 15, and as the date approaches, Jake is intensifying the promotional efforts.
In his latest challenge, Jake is pushing for a quick finish in the match. He provocatively offered the 58-year-old Tyson a wager of $5 million, betting that Tyson wouldn’t survive more than four rounds. “If you fail to last that long, you’ll have to get a tattoo that reads ‘I love Jake Paul’. So, what do you say?” he stated in his video challenge.
However, regarding Tyson’s response to the bet, Jake mentioned that the boxing legend has not been particularly responsive. “I’m confident I can take him out by the fourth or fifth round. But honestly, he hasn’t gotten back to me about the bet, and I doubt he will,” the YouTuber-turned-boxer shared with Sports Illustrated on October 17. “He seems fully committed and in war mode.”

Jake added that Tyson is “not doing interviews” during this pre-fight training period. “He’s just focused on training and wants to be relentless,” remarked the 27-year-old.
As observed, there are growing concerns regarding Tyson’s health as the fight approaches. Consequently, he will undergo additional pre-fight medical assessments.
Additionally, Jake has asserted that it is “Mike Tyson or bust” for him, indicating he won’t consider an alternative opponent.
