In a surprising turn of events, one of Jake Paul’s opponents has reconsidered his forecast for the forthcoming bout against Mike Tyson, now leaning towards the boxing icon for the victory.
Since his foray into boxing and combat sports, Jake Paul has ignited rivalries with various notable fighters. He has engaged in verbal exchanges with prominent figures such as Dana White, Conor McGregor, and Canelo Alvarez, but his actual bouts have seen him face off against numerous other opponents.
The latest wrestler-in-the-ring to face defeat at the hands of Jake is former UFC contender ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, who stepped in as a replacement for ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson back in July. Perry was knocked out by Jake and subsequently lauded the ‘Problem Child’ for his impressive boxing prowess.
As the rematch with ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson was rearranged, Perry’s earlier prediction of Jake winning resurfaced. However, with just a few weeks left until the showdown, Perry has seemingly shifted his stance.
During his appearance on the Overdogs podcast, he remarked, “I believe Mike will win. For him, it’s like riding a bike.”

Perry continued, “You both showcased amazing skills during your fight. There’s a wealth of experience in the ring.”
He added, “Mike is undoubtedly more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to boxing techniques. He won’t feel pressured to force the pace, which will indeed make for an intriguing matchup.”
It’s worth mentioning that although Perry was slated to be Jake’s backup for their first encounter, that’s not the case this time around. For Jake, the upcoming fight in November is strictly against Tyson or nothing at all. Following this, he is set to make his MMA debut with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Nevertheless, Jake has persistently expressed his ambitions of becoming a boxing champion, leaving fans curious about what the future holds.
