Jake Paul Plans to Transition from Boxing to MMA After Mike Tyson Fight

Jake Paul’s highly anticipated MMA debut with the PFL (Professional Fighters League) is approaching, with plans to fight a “credible”opponent in 2025, as confirmed by the organization’s CEO.

Despite primarily focusing on boxing, Jake Paul has significant ties to the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Most of his boxing opponents have been former UFC fighters who made the transition to boxing.

Several of these competitors have challenged Jake to step into the cage, and it appears that opportunity is on the horizon. The ‘Problem Child’ has signed a multi-year agreement with the PFL to compete in their new SuperFights division.

Jake has already extended offers to notable fighters Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal for his debut match. However, this fight has been postponed due to his boxing obligations, but it is set for 2025.

“Plenty of options! And Jake is committed to fighting a very, very credible, well-rounded MMA fighter, which is not easy to do. The crossover from boxing to MMA is far more challenging than the other way around,” remarked Murray.

Murray also mentioned that Jake’s bout with Mike Tyson will serve as the culmination of his boxing season before he shifts his focus entirely to MMA.

“A lot of planning is going into Jake Paul’s debut in 2025, and we’ll be sharing more details once Jake faces Mike Tyson,” he added.

As Jake wraps up his boxing commitments for the year, it may hinder his aspirations to capture a championship. The WBA has expressed that it is “open” to a title fight between him and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. However, those plans may be stalled.
