Jake Paul has received an intriguing fight offer for his first-ever MMA match against a long-standing adversary of his brother, Logan Paul, following his bout with boxing legend Mike Tyson.
In January 2023, Jake Paul entered a partnership with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), signaling his intention to step into the MMA arena. This move came on the heels of discussions about competing in the UFC and prior to his victory over Nate Diaz.
As time has progressed, the ‘Problem Child’ has yet to make his much-anticipated MMA debut. His focus has primarily remained on boxing, particularly the fight against Mike Tyson, initially set for July. However, that bout had to be postponed due to health concerns surrounding Tyson, but they are rescheduled to face off in November.
This upcoming match will be Jake’s final boxing commitment before he shifts his attention to his MMA debut planned for 2025, wherein he will face a “credible” opponent.
Interestingly, Dillon Danis, a long-time foe of Logan Paul, has expressed interest in a matchup with Jake. In a recently deleted tweet, Danis stated, “If PFL wants to remain relevant, the only viable option is me against Jake Paul in MMA, particularly since his brother has been unreliable and backed out of our agreement.”
Despite his earlier confidence in easily defeating Logan Paul, Danis ended up losing that match.
Moreover, Danis remarked, “The PFL is on the brink of collapse, squandering funds without star power and featuring dull fights.” He quickly retracted this statement shortly after it was published on October 19.
Danis is not the only figure linked to past rivalries that have been proposed as potential opponents for Jake Paul. He has also received fight offers involving notable names like Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, and Tommy Fury, though the likelihood of these happening seems slim.
Given the complicated legal disputes and the tumultuous history involving Logan Paul, it is improbable that Danis will indeed be considered as an opponent.
