Jake Paul recently provided an update regarding Mike Tyson’s health, declaring that it’s “either Tyson or nothing” for him in this upcoming bout.
In a surprising announcement back in March, both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson stirred excitement within the boxing community when they stated their intention to fight. While they have often humorously discussed the prospect of a lucrative match, the possibility has now turned into a tangible event.
Mike Tyson, known as ‘Iron Mike’, had to withdraw from their initially scheduled fight on July 20 due to health concerns. Although he has since recovered, doubts regarding the 58-year-old’s condition remain. To address these worries, he is undergoing more extensive pre-fight medical evaluations, as requested by Netflix.
On Jake’s end, he is not overly concerned, stating that he has chosen not to enlist a substitute fighter for this match. This is a notable departure from his usual practice of preparing a backup for each fight, given his nickname ‘Problem Child’.
He communicated on TMZ Sports on October 12, “It’s Mike Tyson or nothing. First and foremost, he’s feeling fantastic, is in good health, and is performing well in training. With just weeks to go, I don’t foresee any setbacks, and November 15 is definitely happening!”

The YouTuber-turned-boxer anticipates a “competitive” showdown for the initial three to four rounds, but he believes he can gain an advantage over Tyson with his jabs and body strikes.
Jake has previously expressed his intent to ‘frustrate’ the boxing veteran, explaining, “I plan to box from the outside and utilize my footwork to maintain agility and make him chase me,” as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
He also expects Tyson to “corner me against the ropes and deliver punches from various angles.”
Despite his age, ‘Iron’ Mike retains significant power; however, his speed may be diminished. If Jake manages to capitalize on this aspect, he will validate his pre-fight assertion of being the favorite among bettors.
