The scheduled boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which was highly anticipated, has been delayed due to Tyson’s “medical emergency”on May 27.
Due to medical concerns surrounding Tyson, the highly anticipated fight between ‘Iron Mike’ and Jake Paul, which was set to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in front of a sold-out crowd, has been postponed.
During his flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 27, Tyson experienced nausea and dizziness, resulting in a short 30-minute delay while medical assistance was provided to the 57-year-old boxer.
Despite Tyson and Paul initially denying rumors of a delay, Most Valuable Promotions eventually announced that the bout would be postponed just a few days later in the aftermath.

In a written statement to fans, MVP representative Liz Keller announced that the highly-anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will unfortunately be delayed.
“Following a follow-up consultation on Thursday with healthcare providers regarding his recent ulcer flare-up, it was advised that Mike Tyson engage in minimal to light training for the next few weeks before resuming full training without any restrictions.”
“Both Mike and Jake have reached a consensus that it is crucial to provide both athletes with equal training time to adequately prepare for this significant match and to enable them to perform at their best.”

“The announcement for the new date of the fight will be made by next Friday, June 7th.”
The statement also included an apology from Tyson to his fans, in which he assured them that he will defeat Paul and put an end to his boxing career when they face each other in the ring.
The prolific boxer expressed gratitude towards his worldwide fans for their continuous support and understanding during this period.
“Regrettably, my doctor has advised me to scale back my training for the next few weeks in order to rest and recover from a flare-up of my ulcer.”
“I am currently in the best overall physical condition I have been in since the 1990s, and I plan to resume my full training schedule in the near future.”
“Although this may have bought you some temporary reprieve, Jake Paul, the ultimate outcome remains the same – you will be knocked out and permanently removed from the boxing world.”
“I am grateful for everyone’s patience and am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to deliver a memorable performance later this year.”
Paul’s opponent also expressed their opinion, agreeing with the decision to postpone the fight. They stated:
“I am in complete agreement with the decision to postpone the event, as it ensures that Mike Tyson will have no excuses on the night of the fight.”
“My supporters are aware that I only want to compete against ‘Iron Mike’ when he is at his peak, but make no mistake – I will be fully prepared to secure my victory with a remarkable finish once he steps into the ring with me.”
“The upcoming fight between Paul and Tyson is sure to be an unforgettable one, and I can assure you that I will give it my all for this once-in-a-lifetime event.”
