Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: Superfight Rescheduled

Jake Paul recently shared a message from Mike Tyson to his team regarding the rescheduling of their highly anticipated superfight for November. Despite critics claiming that the boxing legend is “too old”to compete, Tyson remains determined to step back into the ring.

Following a surprising announcement in mid-March, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson revealed their plans to face off in a highly-anticipated boxing match in Dallas, Texas in July. This event, marking Netflix’s first venture into live sports streaming, has recently been rescheduled for November.

The decision to reschedule the superfight came after Tyson experienced an ulcer flare-up while on a flight to Miami. Despite initially downplaying the incident and stating that he was fine, the former Heavyweight champion ultimately had to cancel the fight.

Despite criticism that ‘Iron’ Mike is too old to participate in the fight, Jake has shared what the 57-year-old told his team when the fight was rescheduled and remains unfazed by the delay.

“During an interview with TMZ Sports on June 15, the ‘Problem Child’ expressed that Mike Tyson is not concerned about his age and does not care about anyone’s opinions. He is determined to fight me and is his own boss.”

“He declared to my team, ‘I couldn’t care less about this, make sure Jake knows I’m still going to defeat him and knock him out.’ This only prolonged the situation. Therefore, advise Mike Tyson to refrain from fighting and take a break to see how things play out.”

Despite numerous offers from fighters, including boxers and those from the Mixed Martial Arts world, to step in for Tyson, Jake has not yet confirmed if he will face any of them as a warm-up before his highly anticipated match against ‘Iron’ Mike at the end of the year. However, he has openly admitted to feeling nervous about the prospect of facing the legendary boxer in the ring.

It is also uncertain what impact this will have on Jake’s upcoming MMA debut, which was originally scheduled for the end of 2024.
