Jake Paul Warns About Key Aspect He “Doesn’t Understand” in Mike Tyson Fight

Former boxing champion ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley has cautioned Jake Paul that he doesn’t fully “understand” Mike Tyson ahead of their highly anticipated super fight, as his former trainer has shared some important advice.

When Jake Paul initially entered the boxing scene, many boxers dismissed him as merely a sideshow to genuine competition. However, a few legends have recognized his efforts and decided to mentor him.

One of those legends is Mike Tyson, which has paved the way for their fight scheduled for mid-November. Another mentor for Paul has been former WBC welterweight champion ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley, who briefly trained Jake for bouts against AnEsonGib and Nate Diaz. Despite his busy schedule, Mosley has not been a regular part of Jake’s training camps.

As the ‘Problem Child’ prepares to face ‘Iron’ Mike, Mosley has conveyed some crucial insights, emphasizing that Jake might not fully grasp the challenges he is about to encounter.

“If Mike really connects with Jake, Mike can seriously hurt him. I know both Mike’s capabilities and what Jake can do,” Mosley told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“I don’t believe Jake fully understands how hard Mike can hit. Mike is 58 years old, but with two-minute rounds, there’s a unique dynamic, and every fighter has their pride. I don’t think Mike is entering the ring intending to lose to Jake Paul. Jake believes he can absorb punishment, but in those early rounds, facing Mike Tyson is extremely dangerous. Jake will need to find a way to wear Mike out.”

Jake Paul is set to battle boxing icon Mike Tyson live on Netflix this November.

Mosley further explained that Jake “needs to comprehend” how his opponent will deliver blows, as it will differ significantly from any opponents he has previously encountered.

Like Tyson, Mosley is also considering a boxing return in his 50s. However, his planned match is just an exhibition compared to the high-profile event that Netflix is orchestrating in a few weeks.
