A Moment of Triumph for Jang Da-ah

One of the most talked-about moments of the evening occurred when actress Jang Da-ah received the Rookie Award for her stellar role in the TVING original series “Pyramid Game.” In a touching moment, her younger sister, Jang Won-young, who served as one of the event’s MCs, presented her with this prestigious accolade, evoking strong emotions among viewers.

Despite the emotional weight of the moment, it was quickly followed by a humorous twist, as Jang Won-young turned away right after handing over the trophy, much to the amusement of the audience. Holding her award, Jang Da-ah expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating, “I’m elated to stand before such respected seniors and viewers. Special thanks to my parents, who have nurtured me, and to all the fans who supported ‘Pyramid Game.’”

Gratitude and Reflection

Following her acceptance speech, Jang Da-ah graciously extended her thanks to the director, writer, and everyone involved in the production of her series. She acknowledged the recognition she received was overwhelming and promised to work hard on her personal growth and maturity. “I hope everyone experiences a healthy end to the year,”she added, displaying a commendable level of humility.

A Sisterly Bond

When MC Ryu Jun-yeol prompted Jang Won-young about presenting the award to her older sister, she responded joyfully, “I’m thrilled to give such a significant award to my sister. I believe our parents must be feeling proud and delighted.”

Earlier in an interview post “Pyramid Game,” Jang Da-ah shared her candid perspective on her relationship with her sister, stating, “When I expressed my desire to act, my sister probably thought it was just another pursuit. We both focus on our paths and silently support one another.” Despite working in the same industry, both sisters prefer to maintain their independence.

Despite speculation about the dynamics of their sibling relationship, Jang Da-ah reassured fans with laughter, stating, “That’s not the case at all.” Her remarks emphasize the strong yet independent bond they share.
