On the 2nd, Vogue Korea’s official YouTube channel uploaded an interview video featuring Jang Wonyoung. In the video, Wonyoung shared her thoughts on the photoshoot she did with Vogue, stating, “The photoshoot was a special experience for me as we experimented with different hairstyles and looks.”
During a discussion on photos from a music broadcast, she shared her thoughts on the concept of the performance being “magical girl”and the process of choosing a suitable hairstyle. She ultimately went with pigtails, reminiscent of Sailor Moon, in collaboration with her stylist. Additionally, she emphasized the significance of styling for stage performances, noting the changes in outfit, hair, and makeup throughout multiple renditions of the same song. As hair changes are the most noticeable, she strives to make each look unique.
In regards to a photo shared on social media, she clarified, “It was captured during my time in London. Usually, I wear my hair down, but on that particular day, it was windy, so I opted for a quick low bun.”When questioned about her typical fashion sense, she responded, “I dress in a range of styles – sometimes elegant, sometimes laid-back.”
After completing her daily tasks and returning home, she typically takes a shower as part of her post-work routine. Due to frequently changing her hairstyle, she prioritizes taking care of her scalp, which can become tired. While she used to shampoo right away, she now chooses to comb her hair beforehand in order to effectively remove any impurities from her scalp. As a result, she has established a routine of combing her hair before showering.
Finally, she also introduced her “Wonyoung-style thinking”as the founder and shared her distinctive approach for having a fortunate day: “By appreciating and finding beauty in even the tiniest things, one can experience a day filled with luck and beauty.”
At the same time, IVE, the group of Jang Wonyoung, unveiled their latest mini album “ALIVE”in Japan on August 28th.
