Jang Wonyoung Discusses Public Scrutiny of Female Idols in IVE’s New Song

On April 29, IVE will release their highly anticipated EP “I’VE SWITCH”, generating excitement among fans. Prior to this launch, IVE sat down for an interview with Nylon magazine to discuss their thoughts on the upcoming release.

In an interview, Jang Wonyoung, who contributed to the lyrics of “Blue Heart”, a track on the new EP, shares that her work in the idol industry served as her inspiration.

Wonyoung explained that people around the world can be quite aggressive towards us. She also noted that some girls tend to choose an icy blue heart over a warm red one in order to appear strong.

It appears that Jang Wonyoung intends to use “Blue Heart”as a way to reference the intense public scrutiny that female idols in the K-pop industry often experience.
