In her career, IVE’s Wonyoung has consistently been praised for her unwavering confidence and optimistic attitude. In a recent interview on Salon Drip2, she reflected on her fearless persona, emphasizing that she has never once felt timid or self-conscious throughout her entire career.
Wonyoung expressed her thoughts in her own words by stating:
“Ever since I started working, I never had a hard time in programs or was embarrassed.”She also shared her mindset of turning dissatisfaction into motivation, saying, “Then [I think] I should work hard next time!”
Despite appearing self-assured, Wonyoung disclosed an unanticipated apprehension during the interview. Although she exudes ease on stage and in public events, she acknowledged being afraid of certain things that may seem ordinary to most, yet not as daunting as performing on stage.
“I’m scared of stuff that is scary. Like ghosts… bugs…”Wonyoung confessed, showing a relatable side to her personality.
The publication of private information of idols on the internet has raised alarm.
Wonyoung’s response to horror movies was one of the most relatable moments.
“When I watch a horror movie with ghosts, I have to turn on all the lights when I go to the bathroom for about a month. I have to open my eyes often while cleansing my face!”she humorously revealed.
Although Wonyoung displays a fearless attitude in her professional life, her fear of ghosts and bugs reveals a more vulnerable side to the confident idol.
The media has recently focused on Jang Wonyoung from IVE, not only for her sense of style, but also for her optimistic outlook, known as “Wonyoung Thinking”or “Lucky Vicky.”
Ever since she expressed appreciation for not getting bread at a bakery, considering it as a lucky occurrence, this phenomenon has been on the rise.
