On the 3rd day, Kim Yoon-ah, the lead singer of Jaurim, caused worry among her fan base after posting a picture on her Instagram of herself receiving an IV drip at a hospital.
In her post, Kim Yoon-ah expressed, “Once again, I am playing the role of a backup battery. I kindly ask for your care and support this month.”The accompanying photo shows Kim Yoon-ah lying in bed, wearing a mask, and gazing wearily at the camera. This has sparked concerns among netizens about her well-being.
During a July episode of the YouTube channel ‘Sebasi Talks’, Kim Yoon-ah revealed that she experienced ‘brain nerve paralysis’ in 2011 as a result of her weakened immunity. She shared, “I was born with a congenital immune deficiency and I continue to undergo monthly treatments.” She added that during this period, she faced challenges with her sense of smell, hearing, taste, and touch.
Despite some residual symptoms from her paralysis, Kim Yoon-ah has shared that she is managing them currently. While her vocal issues persist, she is making an effort to suppress them and carry on with her activities.
Despite maintaining an active public presence, Kim Yoon-ah’s health concerns have been receiving more attention. During her appearance on SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2’ with her husband Kim Hyung-kyu on the 2nd, she greeted fans with a cheerful attitude. However, the worries about her health continue to linger.
Kim Yoon-ah made her debut with Jaurim in 1997 and has been involved in music for 28 years. She has expressed her philosophy of living every moment to the fullest, aware of the unpredictable nature of life. Her fans are sending their well wishes and hoping for a speedy recovery.
Kim Yoon-ah is married to Kim Hyung-kyu, who is a dentist from Seoul National University’s dental school. He is also a former VJ and a member of the group Kingjo. They tied the knot in 2006 and are blessed with a son.
