The much-anticipated cover athletes for NBA 2K25 have been unveiled, marking the first time NBA and WNBA stars share the spotlight on the box art. This year, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces are featured on the All-Star Edition of this popular basketball video game. Additionally, 2K Games has announced other editions along with the iconic players showcasing their covers.

A major highlight for this year’s NBA 2K cover art is the simultaneous representation of both NBA and WNBA stars on the All-Star Edition. With the Boston Celtics having recently won the Championship, Jayson Tatum will appear on both the All-Star Edition and as the exclusive athlete featured on the Standard Edition cover.

A’ja Wilson, fresh off her back-to-back WNBA Championships and sixth All-Star selection, joins Tatum on the All-Star Edition. She will also be featured on the GameStop-exclusive WNBA Edition, available solely in the US and Canada.

For this year’s Hall of Fame Edition, the legendary Vince Carter from the Toronto Raptors takes the cover spotlight. The eight-time NBA All-Star and renowned dunking sensation joins a prestigious lineup of icons including Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Dwyane Wade on the premium editions of the NBA 2K franchise.

A key feature of NBA 2K25 is the mode parity between PC and next-gen game versions. Unlike previous years, where the PC version matched the PS4 and Xbox One, this year, they will be identical, including crossplay functionality. Players can look forward to new MyTEAM modes, another era in MyNBA mode, and an expansion of the previous year’s The W mode.

Though an official release date has yet to be confirmed, NBA 2K25 is expected to launch sometime in September 2024. With these exciting new cover stars, will you be eager to check it out?
