Jeff Wittek: Re-cutting David Dobrik Documentary

After receiving backlash, YouTuber and podcast host Jeff Wittek has taken down his award-winning documentary about the injury he suffered while filming a video with David Dorbik. He has announced plans to re-edit the series in order to accurately portray the events and reveal the truth.

Jeff Wittek has taken to Twitter once more to publicly criticize David Dobrik, posting a string of heated tweets on X. This comes shortly after his previous social media outburst where he condemned SnapChat for partnering with the popular YouTuber.

In his social media updates, Wittek disclosed that he has taken down the documentary series detailing his eye injury on YouTube, stating that it was originally made to “defend”Dobrik.

“I have removed the documentary from YouTube,”Wittek stated. “It was originally created to defend David when I was unaware of his true character (no pun intended). I am currently re-editing the film to reveal the truth. Money is of no concern to me. This individual has ample funds from Snapchat and continues to delay the trial.”

Despite being accused of doing the stunt for attention, he strongly denied these claims and confidently stated that the truth will eventually be revealed.

Wittek’s recent posts continue to criticize Snapchat, as he previously expressed his frustration with the social media platform for compensating a person who caused him lifelong injuries through a dangerous prank.

In the year 2021, Jeff Wittek sustained an eye injury while participating in a stunt for one of David Dobrik’s lively vlogs on YouTube.

During the stunt, Wittek and other members of the ‘Vlog Squad’ hung from an excavator while Dobrik drove and spun the vehicle around. Unfortunately, Wittek ended up hitting the side of the excavator, causing a severe cut above his right eye. The entire incident was captured on Dobrik’s YouTube video, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggCA6hY2PCQ.

According to doctors, if the wound had been just 3 millimeters higher, his eye would have been “cut in half.”

Despite having undergone multiple surgeries to address the problem, Wittek continues to undergo further procedures years after the initial incident occurred.

Due to the ordeal, Wittek has taken legal action against his former friend, Dobrik, by filing a lawsuit for $10 million in damages. This amount is to cover the lost wages and hospital bills incurred as a result of the incident.

Despite Wittek’s latest statements on X, it appears that Dobrik is still delaying their court date, leaving the resolution of their dispute uncertain.
