Despite not keeping up with the ongoing game, Jennifer Hale remains one of gaming’s most notable voices, with her role in the Overwatch franchise being just one of the many that she “loves.”
When discussing the elite members of video game voice acting, Jennifer Hale is frequently cited as one of the most prolific and accomplished individuals in the field by those who are passionate about the industry.
Despite having nearly 500 acting credits under her belt, a significant number of which were acquired through voice acting gigs in the realms of gaming and anime, Hale has achieved widespread recognition.
Within her extensive list of notable roles, Ashe from the Overwatch franchise stands out. Her introduction into the game in 2018 solidified her position as a key member of the Overwatch roster and she continues to be a popular Damage hero for players in Overwatch 2 matches.

Right from the start, Hale openly expressed her adoration for playing Ashe in the world of Overwatch. “I thoroughly enjoy portraying Ashe and it’s an absolute thrill,”she exclaimed with the utmost excitement.
Despite her love for voicing Ashe in Overwatch, the voice actor has confessed that she is not fully updated on the game’s current state. This is due to the game being free-to-play, which means she only records lines when necessary before quickly moving on to her next project.
Despite this, Hale remained very guarded in regards to what she could and couldn’t disclose about any potential PvE content in Overwatch 2 or the future of Ashe as a whole.
“I am not aware. My knowledge is limited to what has been documented and as I am not informed about what has been published, I refrain from discussing it.”
When questioned about her plans for returning to the studio to record new voice lines for Ashe, Hale once again remained secretive. “I am unable to disclose any information at this time.”
Despite being asked which other Overwatch hero she would choose to voice if given the opportunity, Hale confidently answered without hesitation. She shared, “My initial choice would be B.O.B.”It is possible that in the future, we may see a skin line featuring the adored Omnic companion expressing his thoughts.
