Once again, a popular Jensen Ackles interview is making the rounds, in which he publicly criticizes former Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba.
Fans on social media have once again caught the Soldier Boy actor throwing some subtle shade on Jessica Alba during his appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, Inside of You.
Ackles and Alba had previously worked together as co-stars on the sci-fi action series Dark Angel in 2002. This was a few years before Alba’s role as Sue Storm in Fantastic Four and Ackles’ breakthrough performance on Supernatural.
According to Ackles, the show put a lot of pressure on her. She was young and dealing with a tumultuous relationship with co-star Michael Weatherly, causing added stress. Meanwhile, I was the new addition to the set, not having been there during Season 1.
As the newest member of the group, I was constantly targeted by the lead. It felt like we were constantly bickering, just like a typical brother and sister. She seemed to have a personal vendetta against me, but I don’t think it was because she disliked me. It was more like she resented the fact that the network had brought in a “pretty boy”for the sake of appearance.
“So, without hesitation, I decided to fight back. I exclaimed, ‘Looks like we’re dealing with a fiery Alba today. Brace yourselves, everyone.’”
Ackles became a member of the Dark Angel cast during Season 2, portraying the role of Alec, a clone who served as a romantic interest for Max, played by Alba. The interview clip has recently resurfaced and gained attention among fans after being shared by the account Physical Media. Fans are thoroughly enjoying the clip.
One fan said that although the comeback was terrible, the phrase “hang onto your nuts”was great.
A fan shed light on the drama surrounding the interactions by stating that Jensen Ackles was initially meant to be the love interest for the character in season 2. However, the actress threw a fit and ultimately won, resulting in the character’s real life boyfriend/fiance, Michael Weatherly’s character Logan, being killed off instead. This caused tension between the actress and Ackles.

Despite the negative experiences, Jensen also shares some uplifting anecdotes of mutual support between him and Alba. For instance, he recalls a time when she comforted him after his grandfather passed away.
“Ackles says that if she had walked in, there would have been hugs all around, but unfortunately she did not make it easy for him.”
Despite her recent roles in the 2024 Netflix film Trigger Warning and two seasons of the Bad Boys spin-off L.A.’s Finest, Alba has maintained a relatively low profile in recent years.
Meanwhile, Ackles has been occupied with his projects on Prime Video. He is set to lead the upcoming thriller series Countdown and is also set to return as Soldier Boy for the final season of The Boys and the upcoming spin-off prequel, Vought Rising.
