Jessi is under significant scrutiny following allegations that she neglected an incident involving the assault of a young fan by her associate, known as A, during a gathering in Gangnam. The aftermath of the event saw A’s personal information surfacing online, prompting internet users to speculate about A’s connections to organized crime, based on various social media accounts and images.
Attorney Son Soo-ho has presented several theories regarding Jessi’s potential disregard for the alleged assault. He remarked, “Firstly, it’s plausible that neither Jessi nor producer Koala were privy to what transpired. Secondly, being in the company of someone as prominent as Jessi may have incited efforts to downplay the incident. Lastly, it is possible that Jessi knows the alleged attacker personally but feels unable to provide that information.”
Moreover, the Koala producer accompanying Jessi during the event is rumored to have affiliations with the Korean Outlaws, a gang operating out of LA, suggested by a tattoo on his arm believed to symbolize the organization.
The allegations indicate that Jessi was passive while A assaulted a minor fan who had requested a photograph in Apgujeong, Gangnam, on September 29. The victim reported the incident to the police shortly after, leading authorities to locate Jessi’s group at a nearby bar. However, they denied having knowledge of A’s actions.
CCTV Reveals Jessi Kissing Producer Koala in “Fan Assault” Case
As a result of these allegations, Jessi, producer Koala, and two others were subjected to legal action by the victim. On October 16, Jessi attended the Gangnam Police Station for questioning, where she expressed, “I hope for the swift identification of the individual who attacked the fan. I encountered the assailant for the first time that day.”
However, images of her with the Koala producer and a user’s allegations regarding past incidents of assault involving Jessi and her acquaintances have cast doubt on her claims. Following the emergence of this controversy, Jessi has canceled her contract with her agency, DOD.
